The XL Nicaraguan Grand Caribbean Hammock is hand-woven by South American artisans using smooth, thick cotton that is twisted into cord and formed into a soft, tightly woven bed. The side borders on the XL Grand Caribbean hammock are hand-crocheted, giving it an exquisite macrame edging that is the trademark of the hammock makers of Nicaragua.
Many of our customers who have traveled abroad have loved the style of Mayan, Nicaraguan, and Brazilian hammocks because of their high comfort level. These hammocks are often used as beds, so feel free to use them to their full potential.

I purchased the "hammock sleeve" as well, want to protect my investment.Cool hanging tip:I went to my local rock climbing gym and picked up a "retired rope". They gave it to me for free, as they go through a lot of rope. Climbing rope is strong (obviously), stretches a bit, is easy to work, and looks really nice.Cut two lengths 15' each (I went 12' and regretted it). Wrap a full loop around the tree. Create an "8" near the end of one side. String the other side through the hammock and then parallel through each bend in the "8". This is a classic rock climbing knot. It will hold forever, can relatively easily be removed and looks very clean. Search for "figure eight climbing knot" if you need more instruction.Great hammock[...]

I ordered two of these in orange. I received two in different shades of a cherry red with loopy tacky macrame on the sides that does not appear in any of the photos for this specific item. I was looking for a more minimalist aesthetic. My kids and husband opened these and put them up before I got home, so they were unreturnable. They ARE a great value, very comfortable for two people, and huge, but a very disappointing ordering experience.

The search process was accurate and navigation on the site was easy. I found what I wanted in the pictures and description, ordered it and recieved prompt email notification of my order and a tracking number email when it shipped that I could follow. It was delivered exactly on the day promised and was exactly what I oredered. Set up was easy and the whole family has used the hammock and love its comfort. It fit our hammock stand perfectly (15'6" stand).

Our hammocks arrived when they said they would, are very high quality and very comfortable. At first I thought these hammocks were overpriced compared to others I've purchased in the past. However, the quality shows so I no longer think that. I can't speak for the durability or how they stand up to the weather but time will tell, so far off to a good start. They do stretch a bit but I wouldn't say they stretch more than expected.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

My husband and I bought this and we both love it!! We are going to sleep in it tonight bc it's so comfy and the weather is great. It forms to your body w/out stretching too much and lets heat out too. Now we are both hooked :)
