The set has four lenses that let you adjust your viewing capabilities on your telescope, making it easier to see the stars and planets you want to view. The sky-glow filter helps boost the contrast of the night sky, and the Olll filter is perfect for showing double star systems. The variable polarizing filter is the perfect filter for viewing stunning lunar sights, and the UHC filter helps you better see nebulae.

  • 4 see-it-all, 1.25 in. format telescope filters
  • OIII Filter is ideal to observe double star systems
  • UHC Filter for viewing nebulae in various conditions
  • Sky-Glow Filter boosts contrast of deep-sky objects
  • Variable Polarizing Filter is apt for lunar viewing

Description

Good luck finding a value as good as this.

Zhumell sought out to find a group of filters that could compete with all the others.  We have found them, so we decided to put them into a package deal so you can enjoy them all, for one great price!

Zhumell 1.25 Inch High Performance O-III Filter

This particular filter allows light transmission in the doubly ionized oxygen wavelengths.  This is particularly good for viewing double star systems where a lot of emissions are in the doubly ionized oxygen range.

Oxygen III (O-III) are great for viewing diffuse and planetary nebulae.  The views of the Veil, Ring, Dumbbell, Crescent and Orion nebulae are dramatically improved.

Zhumell 1.25 Inch High Performance Ultra High Contrast UHC Filter

These narrowband filters are for viewing nebulae in the deep sky under a dark sky or a sky with some light pollution.  They filter out specific wavelengths of light to create a high contrast to make nebulae clearer and more visible, where normally, we may not be able to see it with our eyes alone.

Zhumell 1.25 Inch High Performance Moon & Sky-Glow Filter

This filter increases the contrast of deep-sky objects like emission nebulae and darkens the background sky by blocking mercury vapor light transmissions and enhancing transmission in the hydrogen beta, doubly ionized oxygen and hydrogen alpha regions of the spectrum.

Zhumell 1.25 Inch Variable Polarizing Filter #3 35-40% Transmission

This filter is perfect for lunar viewing.  Dial in just the right filtration for the perfect, comfortable view.  Like a dimmer switch for your eyepiece, this filter makes viewing the bright moon much more comfortable and really brings out more detail and greatly improves contrast.

This filter consists of two glass filters that rotate allowing you to adjust the amount of light transmission allowed through the filter.

CHOKING HAZARD - small parts may pose a risk to children under 6 yrs.

I bought these filters about a week ago [...]These filters go for [$] or more for one UHC or OIII.The whole kit is perfect for anyone wanting a better view.Last night I used all the filters with my 10 inch Zhumell Dob looking at the Orion Nebula under light polluted suburban skies. (Results will be much better under Little or no light pollution skies)UHC showed the best results for me because it showed most of the nebula and showed some of the stars too.The OIII showed more of the Orion nebula but less stars. like it should. I saw the whole cup of the Orion nebula plus more nebula details of clouds. I was amazed. The light pollution filter does help contrast a bit but not drastically. I have not tried this on the moon yet though which it is for mostly. The moon filter seems to be a lot better than most though. The variable motion seems smooth and tighter.I have bought the Orion Variable Moon filter before and it just doesn't compare. I havent tried these on anything else expect the Orion nebula but the results thus far are great!Overall these filters probably are just as good as the more expensive ones. Definitely a need for anyone with a 6 inch or larger telescope.I wouldn't recommend the OIII filter for anyone with a smaller aperture than 6 inches because the view is just too dim and doesn't show enough. Not enough light to be filtered. The UHC, Moon, and LIght Pollution filter is a definite for anyone though.I would recommend also buying a better light pollution filter as the Zhumell just doesn't have enough coating on it.

The sky-glow filter cuts down on just a minor amount of light pollution, since it's made mostly for mercury-vapor lighting instead of the most commonly used sodium lighting of today.
Both the UHC and the O-III filters, however, were a complete failure. The QC must be non-existent on these filters, since even looking through the filter at a bright light source, one can see the severe flare and trailing (like coma) distortion from the light source. Putting these on the eyepiece and viewing stars show severe coma and long flares streaked from all stars in the field of view. It's as if the top surface and the bottom surface of the glass is not parallel. Originally I had accidentally ordered the identical 2" kit that Zhumell sells, and noticed the exact same issue on the UHC and O-III filters. I returned those to Hayneedle and purchased these 1.25" filters. This is a major problem that I certainly hope Hayneedle and Zhumell will rectify.
The only redeeming part of this whole set is the variable-polarizing filter set, even though it's not perfect due to having to repeatedly pull the EP out of the diagonal, adjust the VP to get the optimal light transmission, then re-insert.
If I get a non-flawed set of filters, I will post a more favorable review. Until then, I would not recommend purchasing this for anyone unless they are looking for a filter that causes major optical distortions.

Comments about Zhumell 1.25 Inch SEE IT ALL Telescope Filter Set:

I live in the suburbs and I get my fair share of city light. With this set I am able to bring up nebulae details very easilly, and boy does it make a difference. I strongly recomend this set. The polarizing filter is very, very usefull to see the moon and bring up details and contrast.

I don't have anything to compare them to, but I used the UHC and O-III filters last night to view orion and there was a definite difference of being able to see more of the nebula from my backyard(so so light pollution).
