The 12x50 mm Action binoculars by Nikon are designed with hunters and nature lovers in mind. The large exit pupils, multi-coated aspherical lenses, and BaK-4 prisms provide you with excellent color clarity and high-resolution imagery even in low light. The central focus allows you to easily adjust the binoculars with one hand, and with 12x magnification you can zoom in to see every detail of the buck or bird that you're watching. An included tripod adapter even allows you to mount the binoculars as needed for hands-free operation.

These are some nice affordable binoculars and optics are very good. I was surprised to find the flange that holds the eyepieces are made of plastic. Many other binocular makers in this price range still give you metal, because it's plastic.....mine has a slight curve in the plastic that makes the left are right eyepiece way off from each other, I have to have mine adjusted way past 3+ to make it even with the other, this is the only bincular I have in my collection that does this. You have to move up to the Nikon Action Extreme to get the metal flange. Also the case doesn't come with a strap built on, you have to use the strap on your binoculars as a case strap so you won't be able to hang the case up if the binoculars aren't in them. All my other binoculars have case with strap, I'm surprised Nikon doesn't offer the cases with straps! Other than these little things, it's a great binocular for the price with very good optical performance, especially in the center FOV. If you prefer more metal than plastics in your binocular, the Nikon Action Extreme offers more metal build quality than the regular Nikon Action models.
