Once I took the rack out of the box, it literally put itself together. The entire process took me about 5 minutes. And if 25 bottles isn't enough, it is equally as simple to double the height with the brackets that come with the rack. Good buy for someone that wants a good looking rack for their wine, but doesn't want to take the time to put one together.

This rack is shipped with two of the five shelves attached; the other three are loose and have to be attached. The assembly of the loose shelves should be easy. All you have to do is insert two wooden dowels per shelf and then slide each shelf onto its dowels. The problem was that the dowels were too wide to be inserted into the predrilled holes and no amount of pushing would get them in far enough to fit the shelves onto them. When I tried to lightly tap them in with a hammer, the entire rack started coming apart. It is not glued together, only held together with pegs that don't fit tightly. Finally I saw that one of the fixed shelves was cracked and falling out of the screws that were holding it to the frame. I knew then that even if I managed somehow to get the rack assembled it would never hold the weight of 25 bottles. I asked to return the item for a refund [...]

Maybe 5 stars would work too - some of the joints aren't perfect but those that aren't perfect are only off by < 1 mm. For the price, this is fine. Assembled in less than 5 minutes, I'm not sure why some others were having issues unless the company has since fixed them. I am very pleased with this purchase and would buy it again. There were no blemishes whatsover and I like the stain color. One note - though this is sturdy enough as a single unit, it's hard to imagine adding a second unit above it without some serious wall-anchorage.

The rack was as advertised and a great buy; disappointed that the color of the wood SENT was not "quite" like the picture. Walnut it may be, but the one I got is darker than pictured. Too much hassle to return.

Looks just like the picture,and was easy to assemble. It was a little shakey but once put against the wall it was better. There were many chips and dings in the wood, and 2 large repairs to one of the shelves. It was broken in both corners and took quite a while to repair.It was disappointing because it looked so good in the picture. They certainly need to improve their Quality Control.

For the money, this is a great product. The finish is nice and it was very easy to assemble. My husband put it together in 5 minutes. It is sturdy and the wine bottles fit well into the rack. I would highly recommend this product.

Once assembled (EASY) it felt a bit unstable side-to-side. The "shelves" have slats in them that wine bottles or most anything else could sit in. It doesn't feel like it's designed for this purpose, but it works (and maybe, that's a plus, since you could re-purpose it later). The description suggested it would accomodate magnums entirely, but it won't. You can alternate them on a given shelf with regular bottles though.
