Comments about 30-lb. Umbrella Stand Add-On Weight:
I bought the extra weights with the classic 50 lb. umbrella stands. It seemed costly at the time but the peace of mind is worth the extra cost. I have two umbrellas and leave them up all the time, except during a storm. Easy to just screw on to the underneath side of the base.
Pros
- Helps withstand high wind

Comments about 30-lb. Umbrella Stand Add-On Weight:
Good: Screws into bottom of umbrella base to add weight and stability to freestanding umbrellas.
Negative: Doesn't fit my umbrella base and hardware is not included. It would be a better product if it came with hardware and an adapter to fit most umbrella bases. Now that I own this item, I can't use it unless I buy a compatible umbrella base to go with it.

- Withstands High Winds

Comments about 30-lb. Umbrella Stand Add-On Weight:
We ordered a 50lb. base & may not have needed this extra weight, but for peace of mind, it is worth it. It screws right into the bottom of the base and is unseen.
