This is pieced wood, no single boards. So expect to see joints unless you purchase a painted version. I have no issues with the bookacases I recieved.

I bought 6 of these, to have 3 stacks of 2. The upper bookshelf is a little unsteady, when loaded (standing on carpet). I love the look though.
