light fits the black and chrome decor to fit over my pool table very nicely. at this time i have not installed yet, so cannot comment on how it'll install, looks like all the parts to install are in package but the part that hooks to ceiling looks like it'll take some imagination to figure out, maybe the electrician that is going to run all the wiring will have an idea and i can ask him, other than that i personnally think a couple screw in chrome "J" hooks would be better, so i will possibly look to purchase a couple at local home inprovement store seems like it'll be less work and still look very nice, The actual light and shades look as i thought and as discribed so i am happy..

I bought this because of the price and the fact it was the color I was looking for. The look is OK and it will make a nice addition to my room, but beware that you CANNOT hard wire this into a standard ceiling box without modifications. Maybe it was my fault, but I don't remember reading that it came with a standard plug end. I read it was for 120volt so I assumed it would have the neccessary connections for a ceiling box.
I cut the plug, stripped the wires and bought the hardware to connect it to the box. Also, because the chrome caps are not as wide as a ceiling box, I had to buy a plastic white ceiling box cover and drill a hole though it to mount it. It took a good bit of rigging of this but I got it mounted. That is the reason for the 2 star rating. Also, it has a pull chain and switch on the wire. What's the point of that? Neither of those would be neccessary if it was a hard wire light but it's not so why have 2 on/off buttons? Just weird.

I received royal blue color shades, not the black ones that I ordered. This came in 2 seperate boxes, as the bar is in one piece. The installation looks weird, and did not come with any instructions at all. I have not tried to install it as I am still emailing back and forth with customer service to get the right color. Their first offer, which took more than the stated 24 hours, was to process a standard return and have me order again if i still want the product. 1 shipping label was provided for 2 boxes. I have explained my dissatisfaction, and will try to amend this comment if anything gets better.
