Description
The durably-built Midwest Starter Series 54 Inch Single Door Dog Crate is ideal for training and nighttime housing of large breed dogs. This crate features corner drop-pin wire construction with a durable black electro-coat finish that is rust-resistant and made to last. The wire frame is easy to assemble and provides ample ventilation and an uninterrupted view. Slide bolt latches and rounded corners offer added security. This crate collapses easily for simple storage and portability. A tough, easy-to-clean, leak-proof plastic bottom tray keeps floors stain-free during the housebreaking period.

The assembly of the cage was the worst experience I ever had. The cage came in pieces and you have to put it together.
Now, I'm a very patient individual, but this pushed me over the edge. First the instructions are not clear of how to piece this cage together.
I finally lost my patient and ask my husband (which is very technical inclined) to help me put this thing together.
Well, after two days we still don't have this cage together. On day three we ask our neighbor to help us since she works at PetsMart and has the knowledge with difficult dog cages.
It took roughly 3hrs to put this thing together with 3 people. Our neighbor said not to purchase another cage that comes in pieces, like this one. The once which are already assembled and all you have to do is unfold them are the best. Unfortunately, the other cages you can buy don't make this extra large size cage.
Other than piecing this kennel together, its a good place for our dog. He has plenty of room and is quite comfortable in his cage.

Comments about Midwest Starter Series 54 Inch Single Door Dog Crate:
I researched dozens of kennels, looking for one that was large and sturdy
for our 2 rescued and adopted Pit Bull puppies who need to sleep by one another.
This 54 size is exactly what I needed.
It was easy enough to put together and is very well built.
The door swing action is smooth, as well as the locking action.
The puppies slept like babies last night with the extra leg room.
Thank you.

Comments about Midwest Starter Series 54 Inch Single Door Dog Crate:
I bought the cages to use as indoor kennels for my outdoor runs. [...]. Cages are difficult for one person to assemble but easy with 2 people because of size and weight. Nice sturdy cages.
