I love this bench because my terriers and I can now sit together in the garden. The driftwood color matches my patio furniture perfectly. It took me 45 minutes to assemble by myself in the family room, yet light weight enough for me to carry outside on the patio. The instrucions are simple to follow, yet vague about assembly. I would add two things. The only tools required are the ones in the box. However, I did use my trusty rubber mallet and garden gloves. The seat should be assembled last...just remember not to tighten three long bolts on one side until the seat is fitted in place. After tightening the bolts on the side, tighten the small bolts on the bottom of the bench seat. Enjoy!

I ordered this bench based on the WEIGHT stated: 60 lbs. Between that, and the two reviews, I felt safe that this was a gift I could be proud of.
Instead, the bench that has arrived is less than 35 pounds- a far cry from the stated weight. Also, slat color is inconsistent. I am so dissapointed that I made a leap of faith to order from this company, and it has dissapointed me to a great extent. To send it back after it's been assembled would be too big a deal, but "shame on YOU", Hayneedle, for your bait and switch tactic displayed with this bench. I would NEVER have ordered a bench for outdoor use that weighed this little. As a result, I write this review, and will never use this company again. Prior to ordering this bench, I looked up reviews for Hayneedle- and they were not good, though not horrendous. I ordered here because of item description and price. Not as described- buyer beware.

I have purchased 3 of these benches. I am a senior lady and had no problems putting them together. they were just what I was looking for, which was that already old look. Like it had been in my yard for years. I plan on buying 2 more as my yard "rooms" progress.
