The light makes our contemporary kitchen really stand out. I would have preferred a slightly larger size, but the amount of light on our 8ft island is perfect.It comes with a light diffuser, which would be better if there was also an optional piece of clear glass to get more of the light - this could be replaced by your own local glass maker.You cannot go wrong with this light for looks and price.
