Comments about Chaney Instruments Acu-Rite 6 in. Brass Finish Thermometer with Wall Bracket:
It's a nice, simple thermometer. I was surprised how tough it is to find one that just shows the temperature with simple, clear numbers. This one fits what I was looking for very well.
It also seems to keep very accurate temperature. I had it in the house over the weekend, and the temperature on this item matched the digital thermostat, so definitely satisfied in that regard.
The finish doesn't match the picture. It's a shiny, golden-colored brass finish rather than the dark hue in the image here. Also, this image doesn't show the brand name, which is prominent in the white space at the bottom of the face.

Comments about Chaney Instruments Acu-Rite 6 in. Brass Finish Thermometer with Wall Bracket:
Very large dial and easy to read for outdoor use. It was easy to mount, although the screws provided are a bit small, so I used some extras in my shop that were a bit larger.
It's accuracy is fairly good for a non-bulb thermometer. We mounted it outdoors completely out of direct sunlight near our home's rear door. I used an accurate bulb thermometer to calibrate, and the Acu-Rite therometer seems to read a bit high (2-3 degrees) at colder temps (< 40F), but reads accurately in the 60-70 degree range.

Comments about Chaney Instruments Acu-Rite 6 in. Brass Finish Thermometer with Wall Bracket:
I like the utilitarian look of this thermometer; no frills. It's easy to read from a distance. I installed it in about 15 minutes. But what I really like best is ... NO BATTERIES! Imagine that - a household device that doesn't require 4 AA batteries. I hope it holds up in cold weather.

Comments about Chaney Instruments Acu-Rite 6 in. Brass Finish Thermometer with Wall Bracket:
I like the large display with both Fahrenheit and Celsius scales. Large numbers, easily visible 2° increments, useful temp range (who needs a scale that goes from -40° to +140°?) and it covers a wide sweep (270°). It's made of real glass & metal. Remember that stuff?
