I shopped countless hours for mirrors, looked at multiple sites, and finaly after a few months picked this mirror. I LOVE IT! In fact, I dont really think the picture does justice for it, because it looks much better in person. It is definitely silver, but a worn appearance to it...totally looks like something you would see @ [@]...VERY COOL! It feels quite sturdy as well. I consider myself to be high maintance, very picky, and have great taste and I'm telling you this is mirror is perfect...not to even mention the price is too! I am hanging mine in my bathroom and have stone on the wall as well...will be mostly contemporary yet a touch of rustic so this is right on. I am SO SO SO glad I bought this and I hope this helps you with your search.

I love the mirror and the large size. However, was disappointed that the color is a lot darker than shown on the website. It is actually a medium dark silver, and the inner and outer edges are black. I will keep the product, but I was looking for a much lighter and brighter silver gesso frame (with a white-ish background hue). And would definitely preferred white sides as well. Maybe I should have purchased the Cooper Classics Mercer Mirror, but I had wanted the contemporary style frame.

I put 2 of these mirrors in a 2nd bathroom above a double sink vanity. Online, the frame has a white-silver hue to it; but it's actually much grayer. The background is a light silver, and the smooth patina that's smudged over it is a medium gray - giving an overall tone-on-tone effect. The sides of the frame are black. My bathroom is a light blue, and the silver frame picks up the blue cast. It would look great in just about any color room, especially pastels in the blue, green or purple range.
