The bed itself is very nice. I love the color and overall appearance. I knew in advance that the dark wood was an easy target for scratching and denting. There was one bad dent on the back of the headboard piece, but since it was not obvious(back side of bed),I didn't send it back. One of the drawer pieces was incorrectly put together and I had to correct it before assembling the drawer. I was slightly displeased with the durabality of the changing table and bed (do all beds only hold only 40-50 lbs? I'm not sure, maybe my expectations are too high). Overall, however, I am pleased with the product and look foward to getting many years of use from it.

i am hoping when the broken part arrives it will look and be very usefull.. right now i am upset that it had a damaged part....the customer service people were very nice and hopefully they can get a new part for the bed

The diagrams were a little confusing to follow, but all in all, the instructions were clear enough to assemble. It took me and my husband 3 1/2 hours to assemble from the rip of the first box to the push of the last drawer. Definitely a two man operation...make sure one of those "men" have small hands, some of the spaces you put in the screws are pretty tight :) It looks wonderful put all together...a good bonding experience for mom and dad :)
