I put the gate in the entrance to the kitchen/front door of the house so that I could keep my two huskies out of the kitchen while I cook and to keep them from harrassing my guests as soon as they walk in the front door. It is the perfect height for them and when they sometimes hop up and put their paws on the top there are zero signs of weakness or the losing of the tension. It always really nice!

found the perfect barrier for the busiest part of the house that everyone can work. No more stepping/tripping over gates. Keeps the puppy safe but gives him the visual to see whats going on in the rest of house and safe contact with other pets in household.
