I've had the cushion for only a few days, but is fine so far. Contrary to what I read in one review, the elastic band seems very taught and holds the cushion in place extremely well. I'm using the cushion on an old oak stool, and it fits the stool (13") extremely well. The material appears to be very durable; time will tell.

The cushions are attractive and comfortable. The drawback is that they come off the stools too easily. It would be a good idea to have a way of securing the cushions. The elastic makes putting the cushions on very easy, but perhaps a way to tie them would secure the cushions in place better. Or make the elastic tighter.

The cushions fit fine but are rather bulky looking. They are certainly better than hard wood seats! Not much is available out there. Most barstools come with attached cushions now. It's also hard to find the 13X13 size.
