It’s made from 100% organic linen and it features a fill that’s soft, comfortable, and made of half feather and half regenerated fiber from recycled plastic bottles. Founded by designer Melinda Cox, Balanced Design focuses on creating products for the home that combine eco-friendly designs, comfort, and color. With a style that has been described as modern, whimsical, and happy, Balanced Design strives to showcase simple shapes and hand printed graphics. They use water based inks, organic cotton, and even offer pillows with fill made from fibers derived from recycled plastic bottles. Every piece is made in their Providence, Rhode Island studio and manufactured in the textile mills of Fall River, Massachusetts. Fabrics are even hand screened in an old Rhode Island textile mill. Products from Balanced Design have been featured in books, magazines, newspapers, blogs, and television shows.
