I've had views with other UHC filters before. What I found was that stars do not show their artificial colors but instead have a green blue color in them. With this filter, you do not see any of those colors when lookin at stars and the color of the stars stay natural. Definelty a good filter for nebulas.

Purchased an ETX60 Backpack Observatory from [...] as it was being discontinued. Didn't know much about telescopes or astronomy for that matter, was an impulse buy. I soon regretted it, once I realized I would need a much bigger scope to get the views I wanted. I started looking at accessories to help improve my scopes performance. At this point I had seen lots of globular clusters and open clusters but nebulae and planetary nebula views were hard to locate in light polluted skies and small aperture. This filter greatly enhanced the view of Orion and made the Dumbbell Nebula much more visible. Really helped define the nebula boundaries and bring out more details in the nebula.
