It did not live up to its description. This detector will not detect specific metal types. It detects all metal objects no matter what setting it's set to. It does detect metal, no complaint about that but it detects all metal objects no matter what setting it's on. After one hour of use I found five metal wrappers and one copper penny. The volume worked good for about five minutes, then it stopped working, after five minutes it no longer has any volume tone.
