Description
Welcome some additional, convenient and attractive storage to your home with the Bedford Hall Tree - Ebony. Constructed of hardwood solids and wood products, this transitional hall tree features a handsome black finish and stylish details throughout. The finish is applied through a multi-step process with a final clear coat to protect against wear and tear during normal use. This hall tree includes four double hooks for a total of eight hooks for hats, coats and scarves. There are two open storage cubbies up top for sweaters, blankest or just something pretty. Finally, the bench seat lifts to reveal a hidden storage space perfect for bulkier items.

Spent most of today making it; wood split in three places, leaving cracks, and rails that created the back came out of the box unattached from the pieces they were supposed to be glued to. Wound up gluing and then stapling the back to the frame so it wouldn't fall out. But I can live with it; you get what you pay for, and furniture stores charge $1,200 for these things. Hope it lasts my kids' childhoods.

This piece of furniture looks beautiful once put together. However, to get there took a bit of time and frustration. My husband and I have put lots of furniture together and have built furniture from scratch. This was by far the most aggrivating towards the end of construction. The top pieces did not want to line up properly. After a little prying and pulling it finally went together.

I purchased this item and it came more quickly then I originally thought. It was considerably more complicated to assemble than I had anticipated and required some assistance from a friend who is a carpenter to actually get the bench top to work properly. All in all I love the way it looks and the funtionality of it. If you don't have a carpenter to help with the balancing and tweaking I would think twice about a novice being able to assemble this and have it work properly.

My poorly constructed piece of furniture I have ever seen. Makes [@]look like hand crafted artisan work.The only thing worse than this furniture was dealing with Hayneedle.com. Horrible customer service.

There were obvious flaws with the workmanship and quality before we even finished assembly. Several spots where the veneer buckled and multiple pieces cracked. Instructions are incredibly vague.
Hayneedle has been wonderful in addressing our concerns and has offered a full refund which we are definitely taking.

This is a very nice piece. It is functional, sturdy and looks very nice. It looks taller in the picture than it is in reality but I should have looked more carefully at the dimensions!
