This tray is very useful to someone who is bedridden. I bought this tray to help someone recover from surgery. She spent a lot of time watching movies on her laptop and reading. Because this tray has legs and a tilting top, it allowed her the freedom to shift into different positions than she would have had with a regular tray and that, in turn, helped to reduce bed sores. The tray is not as lightweight as those that are plastic but it is not particularly heavy either. The lip around the edge prevents objects from slipping off the tray. All in all, it has worked very well and I would definitely recommend it. In fact, I've decided to buy one for myself.

I needed it for the tilt up to read. I have a bad neck and need to keep it level. When doing cross word puzzles and go to write with any perssure the tray top falls down. So my husband drilled little peices of wooded pegs on the back so the medtal rod wouldn't fall slide down and I have like for different slants to pick from now.
Also the wood is kind cheap afraid it won't last long.

I am an avid reader. Some books are almost too large for my painful hands to hold. I bought this adjustable tray table to hold my books. It works great. I couldn't have ordered a better tray table and the fact that it adjusts makes it even better. I also use the tray table for my lap top computer. It is such a relief to have the lap top off my lap. It would get so warm sometimes and the tray table makes it so much nicer. I had been looking for a plastic tray table in my city but was unable to find one. Then I went online and found this one. It is about the same price of the plastic one and is so nice and sturdy. I love this tray table and am so happy I found it.

I bought this table as I am recovering from bunion surgery, and need to be in bed for several weeks. It is a nice unit, but the edge is very thick and got in the way of the network connectors for my large laptop. Using it wirelessly, there is no issue.
