I purchased this for a 10 year old. The set arrived promptly and in great condition. I had originally picked out a considerably more expensive set, but was assured by my son this one would be fine for a beginner.I thought the pieces would be made of wood instead of plastic, but realized they wouldn't chip or break if they were dropped.

The board looks nice. The website advertises that this folding bord stores each piece separately. In addition, on the box itself it clearly states "storage area designed to hold each piece separately". However, the product I received (yes- I confirmed it is the correct product that is advertise) has absonlutely no storage for indiviual pieces and they just bouce around inside the folded box during transport. I am very dissappointed as I purposefully sought out this storage feature and do not understand why both the box and the website claim such storage. Also - they claim the pieces are weighted, but they sure don't feel that way to me. Chesssets.com told me they would accept a return for a refund or to contact the dealer of the product, namely Wood Expression out of Californina. Will update this review if I find any explanations.
