Starting a little over 3, my son decided he was going to figure out pedals like his older brothers, it took a couple of days to get the hang of it; he will be 4 in February and now rides his buddy effortlessly around the driveway, through the dirt and grass and keeps up with his older brothers. He loves to drive in reverse. Kart has held up remarkably well with use by older brothers (6 and 9) as well. He uses it so much we're almost ready for tires!
