This super-organized workstation kit is full of helpful features, including a typing shelf that glides out on smooth ball bearings. The keyboard shelf can be installed under the executive desk, credenza, return table or bridge. You choose. It's modular, so it can be set up in various configurations. Other useful matching components can be added. Two utility drawers sit above a deep file drawer with letter/legal filing system, and the bottom two lock with a single key. Four hutch cabinets keep you organized, while rubber grommets organize wires. The smooth surface is a sturdy one-inch thick for strength, with a hard commercial-grade melamine veneer that resists scratches and stains, and cleans up with an easy wipe. Medium Tuscany Brown wood-grain finish. Meets or exceeds AINSI/BIFMA standards. Assembles easily. You'll be amazed at how much easier it is to get things done!

AS far as the working space it affords, it's a great desk. I was just very disappointed, because although it's a great looking desk, it is poorly constructed. The first day it was in my office, I noticed a chip. I am also noticing it scratches very easily, and the edges are very sharp. Not kid friendly, that's for sure. The doors also do not align well. It will serve its purpose, but next time I will focus on quality rather than on price.
