The bookends are beautiful and well made, but one bookend came with black marker scribbled on the base. I removed the mark but the finish was scuffed.

The weight and shape are good and they hold books well. I do not like the color. It looked better in the computer image that I looked at before I bought the item. When it arrived and I unpacked it, I found the color to not be as nice as I thought it would be.
