This is a clean looking modern chess board (no border). I paired mine with a modern set of metal chess peices and together they look amazing!

Classic board. Solid wood. I paired it with the Ebony and maple chess set. It is a great way to show off traditional Staunton pieces. With no border it has a kind of zen feel. It is the archetypal chess board. No frills but not cheap looking. Quite the opposite.
