Item was delivered promptly but was not assembled as indicated. Assembly was not difficult. The grill is too small to balance on the posts provided - they only support the cover. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase for the purpose I had in mind. It is attractive and sturdy, well made and a good size. Plus is that a weatherproof cover was included. I would recommend it to a friend.

I bought this for my wife. It came in and when I went to assemble, the bolts that retain the ring were stripped, as in used. Hayneedle took care of it, sending me a new one. The new one came in, and now I know why the bolts were stripped on the first one, the nuts are slightly larger than the bolt. They can be hand tightened, but in order to get them solid so the ring is secure, you need to use a wrench. (recommended in instructions) So they strip before even coming close to securing the ring. The rest of the fire pit is well constructed and looks great when there is a fire in it. I left the ring off this one until I can locate the proper sized nuts. I'm hoping it isn't a matter of poor manufacturing in which case I'll never find the right size. It doesn't state where it was made, my guess is in China where the industry standards are not of those in the US. If it was made in the US, the company should be ashamed of their craftsmanship.

Not worth the money... none of the parts that came with it even fit onto it so basically all it is is a iron bowl, not worth the money at all.

the service is truly amazing. we recieved the item within a few days of ordering. we had reviewed some comments about the grate not fitting and some holes for the handles weren't pre-drilled. very true. so we couldn't put it together. i called to share my concerns and to ask how to return it since we're not very handy people and couldn't figure out how to make it work. the person i spoke with was apologetic and very understanding. we were very impressed.

This firepit is much bigger than I anticipated. Seems well made, and wasn't difficult to put together. As others already pointed out, the cooking grill that comes with it is some kind of a joke - it doesn't fit, there isn't even any hope to make it fit. However, the rest of the pit is great. Like that it came with good cover for rain.
