Bocce Ball Materials and Sizes
Resin is the most popular material for bocce balls and will withstand frequent use better than other materials. Molded plastic is best for children or for beginners and can be somewhat softer although still very durable.
A bocce ball that is smaller than 100mm is typically best for children or for beginners. This size is easiest to handle and toss. Tournament balls will range between 107mm and 115mm. Poor Quality Set
I purchased this set based on the strength of it reviews, the photos on the web site, and price. The reviews and photos proved incorrect in regards to the set I received.

1. Three of the four red ball arrived with pitting, blemishes, and small cracks.
2. All of the bocce balls were dull in color and coated in some sort of wax (my camera flash shined them up a little bit).
3. The Pallino's yellow color was not consistent and had black specs in the yellow.
The set is a good size and the weight seems right on the money, but I can not overlook the poor quality of the red bocce balls. Oddly enough, beside the dull finish the green balls were good. I unpacked the set as soon as it arrived and I am packing it up to be returned when I am done with this review. The bag seems ok and contains a divider separating the balls into four sections.
