That includes the incredible Hammer Head tip. The patented Hammer Head mechanism uses a unique point, clip, and barrel design that allows the tip to retract into the dart slightly on contact. The point slips off the obstructing wire, and then the forward thrust of the dart hammers the point into the target. And, with that, you've virtually eliminated bounce-outs from your game. I'll start this review by saying I'm new to darts. Until I got these, I was playing with cheap fixed-point steel tip darts, and was getting a lot of bounce-outs.
A friend has Bottelsen's GT dart set, but I didn't want the same thing as him, so after looking into other Bottelsen hammerhead tungsten darts, I settled on this set, and glad I did. They look and feel great. It's taking me a bit to get used to them, but that's expected, as I'm new to darts and my old darts had a completely different feel to them. Only had 2 bounce-outs in about 500+ throws, but I blame myself, not the darts. They were terrible throws!
I was pleasantly surprised that the darts came with a case, extra flights (in the "hammer-head" style, not gorilla grip flights), extra shafts, and a dart tool. The picture only shows a dart so I assumed I was only ordering 3 darts, not the extras.
