Being an engineer, I researched metal detectors prior to buying one. The Elite 2200 had the greatest # of tones, a tactile membrane control panel which eliminates water and dust infiltration there and was very light weight, which is a factor when trying to accelerate a mass. I also own an older generation Bounty Hunter machine and the difference in mass is VERY noticeable. I have seen these machines on sale for as little as [$] They are a bargain at [$]
