Really like the flush mounting. These are used as medicine cabinets on the walls to the left and right of the vanity. I've ordered different Broan-Nu Tone medicine cabinets previously and was very pleased with them but this one needs improvement. Hinges were loose, and flexing the side walls of the cabinet. You can't tighten the screws so we had to drill the screws off the hinges and replace them with ones that were long enough to secure into the studs. That fixed the wobbly hinges but was way too much work. Definitely needs improving!!

Shopping locally, I could not find a medicine cabinet that closed so that the mirror was flush to the wall- they all stuck out a couple of inches when closed. This one closes totally flush and is an elegant addition to my new bathroom. Also, it is metal and sturdy, not plastic like many of the medicine cabinets in the big box stores. It cost a little more, but was well worth it.

This product states it is a flushmount recessed cabinet. While the cabinet does mount flush [although if your walls are not exactly plum, there are gaps], the door does not close so that the mirror is flush to the wall.
The closing mechanism makes the door protrude out by about 3/8", meaning the hinge side sits flush to the wall, but the closing side sticks out. I bought these and had to return them. Don't buy them!!!!
