This sturdy, spacious wood island has a pine base and solid oak butcher block top that provides a durable spot to prep food. Available in a variety of finishes to complement any kitchen design, this island offers three dual-access utility drawers for measuring cups, knives, and other utensils, a wide center shelf, two towel racks, and two large bottom drawers for mixing bowls, baking pans, and more. Posts and rails are built with full mortise and tenon joinery for long-lasting strength and stability.

Comments about Buffalo River Kitchen Island:
This island is not pine. The classic construction is of solid white oak. We also have it available in Sycamore. We offer cherry, pecan, hickory and walnut - all solid full-rail (no finger joints) posts, styles, everything but the draw bottoms is solid hardwood from select saw-lumber. All of our lumber is domestic US hardwood and sustainably grown and responsibly harvested. Our 1/4" ply bottoms are FSC certified. Our islands are the greenest, most renewable solution - very low organic hydrocarbon emissions (unlike MDF, plywood, presswood composites). RTA furniture is the #1 source of indoor air pollution (EPA).
The Buffalo River Island is the finest, highest quality kitchen island I have every seen.
