After deer hunting with a good friend for many years and using his Jason binoculars I finally had to find a set. I'm glad Bushnell picked this advancement from Jason up and I've since retired all of my other sets of manual-focus binoculars. You can't beat these, especially if your hunting or working involves cold weather and heavy gloves/mittons.
As I live and work in the country my 10x50's will be with me all year long. Plus they are a pretty good binocular for looking at the night sky.
If folks knew about Perma-Focus there wouldn't be much demand for manual focus binoculars. I know what I'm buying for Christmas gifts next year and I'll be doing it through Binoculars.com!

I was extremely disappointed with these binoculars. They may be useful to someone who is only viewing objects at a far distance (across a lake or a field), but I found them next to useless.
The “Focus-Free” feature that is advertised on the website is actually the absence of a feature: there is no focussing mechanism whatever. Binoculars with a focussing mechanism could simply be set for far-field viewing to obtain the same results. The “autofocus” also mentioned on the website is misleading: you can focus nearer objects to some degree by using the focussing ability of your own eyes. Hardly automatic. If you’re like me and old enough to use reading glasses, you can’t focus near objects at all with these binoculars.

I've never had a pair of binoculars that I could use with my glasses. These work great with glasses! Can't wait to try them out in the field, instead of just out my back window!
