This is my second review of The Buttercup dollhouse. I am making nice progress and am learning alot about color and building materials.
I found a good way to try out shingle styles is to place masking tape on the roof, sitcky side up. Then lay the shingles on the masking tape. This can be done quickly and allows you to try out various shingle styles without commintment.

This is my first miniature dollhouse. I've always wanted to build one. It's good for the price, just not so easy to build. You have to be careful when take some of the parts out of the box. I had to use a razor to ensure the pieces would come out cleanly. I also had to use a lot of sand paper. The edges are not smooth and clean out of the box. A lot of elbow grease to get this started but once it's painted and put together you will feel proud.

I have really enjoyed working with the house. I recently entered my finished creation "Lakeside Cakes" into a local competition and won Honorable Mention.
