About Persnickety Pet
Established in 1999, Dick Mueller and his wife Patricia opened Persnickety Pet to market their patented Pet Tent. A Pet Tent is a direct descendent of Dick Mueller’s Pup Tent that he invented in 1962. The one thought the Mueller's had in mind when creating the Pet Tent, was that animals like to live in dens. Pup Tents became such a big hit with dog owners that they were sold in the finest department stores, such as: Saks Fifth Avenue, Hammacher Schlemmer, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Bloomingdales. Now, thanks to the Internet, Pet Tents are available and being sold worldwide. They've even made it to the White House. In 2000, a very special and custom Pet Tent was dispatched to Barney, President George Bush’s canine-in-residence at the White House.
