This picture was taken with a flash camera. The metal backing of this barstool is DARD! If you are looking for a lighter backing this stool is NOT for you!

I think these chairs are very, very beautiful. They go perfectly with my decor and are very elegant. They are also very comfortable and the perfect size for a counter height table.
They are very difficult to put together though. And in trying to put them together, I have a concern about the long term quality of the chairs. They were expensive so I hope that they are of good quality and will last. The workmanship of where the nuts and bolts attached was not perfect and what made them so hard to put together. I had to get my handyman to do it and it even took him a long time. In some cases he didn't use all the washers because it wouldn't fit correctly. One chair came broken as it seemed the box was damaged and it broke the back seat of chair. Another box was damaged too but the chair was OK.
I'm keeping them cause I really love them and will see how it goes in time.

I was reluctant to shop on-line and not having a chance to examine the product before purcahsing it, but I was TOTALLY satisfied and surprised! They are solid, goodlooking and of good quality materials. We love them!

Easy to put together... beautiful dark wood and finish, very sturdy and the swivel of the seat is stiff enough that its safe for kids, yet smooth enough for adults to move around. These chairs look so elegant in my brand new kitchen.
