This media chest is very pretty. Also, it's very white (I saw some reviews that said it was cream but the one I received is white). The pieces all come flat packed and the boxes are heavy - definitely a two-person carrying job. The directions were pretty good and I didn't have too much trouble putting it together with my teenage son. I wouldn't say it's the best made furniture (the bottoms of the drawers are thin fiber board), but the parts that show and those that keep the structure are very solid and the finish is nice. Keep in mind, once built, it's very heavy so I suggest putting it together in the room where you plan to use it! I'm happy with this piece.

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this piece of furniture. It is solid and the finish is nice. The white is not as crisp as the white wood work throughout our house but I wouldn't call it cream either. We are using it as a dresser for our daughter. I was worried about the amount of storage but it holds more than I thought it would. My father in law and I assembled this together in a little over an hour, it's definately a job for two people.

We are assembling this chest and so far, have found the following problems: the upright middle piece has a semi-circular chip that will show (and no touch-up paint provided!); one of the cross pieces used wood that should have been consigned to the scrap pile because it has gouges (giant wood worms at work?); we are missing one of the wood screws (nine were supposed to be provided and we received eight); one of the drawer faces has a gouge that will show (again, no touch up paint); and another drawer face has a scratch that was painted over. Based on the above I wouldn't rate it higher than 2 stars.
