Love the versatility of the charcoal/gas combo. Very good heat control. But I have seen sturdier wheel designs on Tinker Toys. How much trouble would it be to provide a threaded axle that could keep the wheels in place? Also, I was unable to get ANY response from either manufacturer or vendor when inquiring about their claim that the charcoal grill fire could be started with the gas burner. I still cannot figure out how that is done.

All around this grill is great with some exceptions.
Look closely and you will see that there is no way to use a rotisserie on the gas side. The burners are to close to the spit. If you have the trio (firebox), forget rotisserie altogether! There is no accommodations for mounting the motor. I use the smoker and charcoal side a lot, the gas side occasionally. I like it but I had to make some design changes. You will need a pressure adjusting regulator for the gas portion. I had to spend an extra $100 to make it right. ***

Easy assembly, clear directions. Electric ignition started on the first attempt. All 3 burners are even and consistent. I seered a rack of short ribs, then moved them to the charcoal side and slow cooked/smoked 'em to perfection. The ribs turned out awesome, not charred or burned, just moist and yummy.
This grill is heavy-duty, very heavy and sturdy. I'd recommend this grill to serious grillers of all ages.

had the grill for only about a year and is already rusting out. Electronic starting for gas side has broken twice and now the deflector plate holders are rusting out to the point it has almost broken off. Loved this grill at first but just has not held up.

this is a great creation. this gives you the option of firing up the burners for a quick chick or burger fry, or get down and dirty with coal side HEARTY B-B-Q grilling. I think there could be little better design to the coal adjustments, but other than that is great all season cooker. mstr chef rnphelps
