We purchased this product as a cheaper alternative to some similar looking media consoles from pottery barn and crate & barrel.The console looks every bit as good or better than we expected. The color is rich and deep. Looks darker in person than online, which was great for us. The console had plenty of room for our components, and it has plenty of room to move wires around in the back of the cabinet. I was also surprised as to the amount of space in the side compartments. Online it doesn't look much bigger than a dvd case, but it is much bigger, an therefore more functional in my opinion.Where I had a real problem was the construction. Other reviewers stated a problem with the cams, and I had the same problem. There really should be a large print caution to not overturn or try to tighten the cams. I was frustrated that the only mechanism to secure some parts was the cam locks, but since the cams are aluminum, it really limits their strength. You have to be extremely careful not to put torque on the cams, which means the component is very weak until you get it all in place. This makes it hard to move from a horizontal position to a vertical position during construction. It also makes it hard to move this rather large piece around once you have it constructed. I'm really afraid that that a cam on the bottom might give when I move this thing, and that would mean I have to take the whole thing apart to fix it. You can buy new cams at the hardware store. I found those to be slightly better quality, but they are pretty expensive. They are [$] for a pack of 4, and you need close to 20 for construction. That is a substantial amount of cost you could add to the price of the item, if you bust almost every one of the cams like I did the first time I tried to put this thing together.Bottom line, be wary of the cams during and after construction. If you do that, you have a great looking piece of furniture for a very reasonable price.

There was a noticeable chunk taken out of the lower edge most likely due to shipping.
Cable management is nice. Finish is good. assembly is rather painless other that the doors.

Get piece of furniture. Takes a bit to put it together but worth it for the price. Would recommend this to others. Easier to assemble with two people. It's heavy so you'll need two people to get it in place. We love it.

Called hayneedle to get damaged part replaced. Supposed to call me within 24 hours..no call. Had to take door hinges of of both front doors and realign hinges as doors would not close. Still waiting for phone call regarding damaged back panel. Unit does look exceptional and fills needs for flat panel tv 100%

I love this stand, it is so beautiful and was very easy to put together. It was delivered with a damaged piece, we were able repair it ourselves, it just delayed our completion by one day.
