If you love your bunny, you must have this cage. We have ours indoors for a house rabbit who was destroying our carpet and therefore needs a comfy place to be when not supervised. We feel no guilt leaving him in this two-story townhome. He has a nice, private loo (nest box contains his litterbox). He has an eating area that is covered with a vinyl surface. He has a fun ramp down to his "play area" which contains toys and newspaper to shred. He loves it. You could easily have a couple of bunnies in here. The description says four - I'd say two. But this could be quite a love nest for a bonded pair of Holland Lops. I assembled this by myself in about an hour. The only flaws:
The flooring of the second level should be plastic.
The heart-shaped latches are useless and have to be replaced. They literally don't hold the doors closed - but this is an easy fix and doesn't detract from my five-star review.
The bottom is open, theoretically for bunny to eat grass if it were outside. HOWEVER, an outdoor bunny could dig out of this cage. An optional pan or tray for the bottom should be manufactured. We have a rubber-backed preschool rug under ours to protect our carpet!
Enjoy your bunny!

The smell of cedar is over whelming when you open the package, but not like the cedar outside that I'm used to it's almost artificial. I would not trust this outdoors against predators, just for daytime running. The door latches (adorable little hearts) don't latch the double doors at all, we tried moving it over, but it didn't keep anything closed so we switched to hook and eye, which by the way, is the only thing keeping the top "hutch" connected to the run.
All in all I wish I would have put the money into material to build my own even if I was an amateur craftsman.

Comments about Boomer & George Deluxe Rabbit House:
This rabbit house was much bigger (in a good way) then I expected. The orangish/red cedar wood is a nice sturdy wood. The small heart latches didn't work quite so well so I had to buy metal clasps. The assembly of the cage was excellent. It took about an hour to an hour and 1/2 (however, we did use a manual screwdriver... I definitely recommend an electric one). All the pieces were pre-drilled in order for easy assembly. The metal latches on the sides (the ones that connect the hutch to the runner) did not reach the hole to attach them with. I ended up having to move the metal hole down in order for them to somewhat connect. The roof is great, it is slightly angled and has the green rubbery material. The hinges "click" into place at its highest extension and lock the roof into place when open. The doors everywhere in the front allow easy accsess to your pet, and the floor board of the hutch has a black covering for easy-cleaning. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase, but I have yet to see it in a storm.... I'm looking to purchase a tarp to go over it just in case. :)

Comments about Boomer & George Deluxe Rabbit House:
This item is very sturdy and looks attractive/blends well near the deck in the yard.
Only complaints are that the black plastic liner on the floor of the hutch had air bubbles in it so I wonder if it will begin to seperate and peel off shortly. The ladder is fixed once assembled so moving the entire unit is a little awkward.
Also, the illustrations on directions sheet were difficult to see and read. Still not too bad to assemble in about 1 hour

Comments about Boomer & George Deluxe Rabbit House:
This hutch is a great hutch. My complaint is that there were several bits of the wood that were broken off in places. The heart lock for the hutch is cute but fell off immediately. The ladder is a bit high and our bunny Harry will not go up and down it yet. I think he is afraid of heights. If you are expecting high quality this is not for you-but the price reflects that.

Comments about Boomer & George Deluxe Rabbit House:
We bought this for our 12 year old turtle. She had a rabbit hutch , but she is getting bigger and needed more room. She was funny when she first began to explore it. She'd go to the "bedroom" and then out to the larger space. Back and forth, as if to show us how cool it was. We put her in the bottom for awhile to explore. She enjoyed that. Then once I got her dinner ready i could not find her. Eventually I looked and saw her at the top of the ramp trying to get into the top. I was amazed she could climb it. We have those rubber mats kids play on in the bottom part and now I'm glad. I'm worried she'll topple off the ramp. Going down may be more difficult. So we supervise her when the basement door is open. We place her on the bottom and watch her when she wants to go up.
I know we don't have a rabbit in this, but over all its a nice cage. Would work for guinea pigs too.
But do remember that the bottom of the play yard has nothing to stop an animal from digging under. I do think the enclosed den part is really nice for most animals who feel more secure in a protected area.
