We recommend Catskill's Original Butcher Block Oil, although drug store mineral oil can also be effective in sealing wood. Oil will enhance the color of the wood and offer short-term protection. The old adage of oiling the surface once a week for the first month and once a month for the first year is appropriate, imbuing your cart or island with a rich, golden glow.
