I was looking for a toy box that not only served it's purpose, but also one that would look good in the living room. I wanted it to look like a piece of furniture instead of a cutesie little toy box. I went with this one because I liked that it had no lid (to squish fingers and close on heads, which happened with my nephew). When I received it, I was very pleased. The finish is even prettier in person than in the picture. It was fairly easy to assemble (for my husband), I however got all confused and frustrated. Once he showed me one bolt, I was making it way harder. But it just came with a black and white picture diagram with no words. That's the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five. Once it was put together, it looks great and is sturdy. My son pulls up on it and climbs on it and even before it was weighed down with toys it held up.
