Not only is this handsome Classic Playtime Storage Tower - Pecan constructed of extremely durable engineered wood and great looking veneers, but it is entirely modular. This allows you to stack them with confidence using the included mending plate and anti-tipping kit to fasten one shelf to another and to the wall for stability. There's even a recessed lip on the base to ensure stable stacking of multiple units. Units shouldn't be stacked more than two high - purchase includes one unit. Few tools are required. It is all very simple, so you can get back to mothering, fathering, or spoiling, whichever is your main employ with your children.
This toy storage tower includes the two-shelf base unit. However, we know how toy purchasing can get out of hand, so you can come back and order more should your needs increase. I purchased two of these towers. One of them went together EXCELLANT! The other - not so much. The hardware was terrible and broke through the wood.
The company replaced the bad piece immediately with another excellant one!
The good ones were manufactured in 2011. The bad one in 2012.
So, this review is based on the GOOD ones!

we bought several towers for the playroom, just to have somewhere to put all their toys and games, etc, even a place for the cars and trucks in one bin, balls of every kind in another bin, frisbees, WII games and X Box games, etc, in other bins. You can never have too many bins.

Using it as cubby for diaper bags for day care. Not using canvas bins at this time. May use them later. Holes for assembly chipped out during assembly because holes are not big enough. Back piece goes on with push in plastic clips. Back piece is to short and holes don't line up very well had a hard time getting it to go together. Item does look nice and is very sturdy.

We used this in combination with the bins and shelf units. It makes a nice presentation. Looks good and is very modular so we can use it any where. It is now going to be used for a toddler but I can see the unit's usefulness for many other purposes.
It takes about an hour to put together, but it is well made, all the pieces are there and it looks good.
