Very impressed with the quality! It's not cheap mdf that splits when you try to put the screws in. Very easy to put together! The only that I was a little disappointed with was there were big long scratches on the base piece. Not to big of a deal where I bought the bins, so they hide them, but it would be nice if it would have arrived without the scratches!

The box arrived timely. The bench is packaged very well. There were fumes when I opened the box, whether off-gassing from the bench or the packaging, I don't know, the smell went away on the wood bench and I threw the packaging away. It is made in China.

I am a 59 year old woman and I built the bench alone. All the parts were there and they all went in easily. I wouldn't say I'm very mechanical or handy. I just read the directions and looked at the pictures! Everything fit correctly and snugly together. No gaps where one section of the bench meets another.

I love the way the bench is built. It has bolts that you insert and turn and lock on metal pins that you insert. That is how the bench is held together. It's great. Real solid. There are 4 strong screws that go into the bottom piece that were easy to fit and screw into place. The bench is very strong, made well. The back piece is thinner and fits into an indented area on back. There are 18 small screws that go into the back piece to attach to the bench. The holes were all aligned perfectly. I used an electric screwdriver and it was very quick. Of course, there is the option of not using the back piece.

The bench should last a good long time. The Vanilla color is exactly that, Vanilla. There was not 1 scuff mark or any marring to the wood on any of the pieces of the bench. They arrived in perfect condition. The wood is solid. It's thick as you can see in the pictures, except the thinner back piece, which will not show at all if you have the bench against a wall.

I just love the bench. My only complaint is that the way the order menu was set up is not correct, the pull down menu says # of bins, so I pull down the menu and my only choices are no bins at the lower price or 3 bins at the higher price. It led me to believe that if I clicked NO bins, I would not have any bins with the storage bench. So I clicked to order: 3 bins and paid extra only to find out that the bench arrived with 3 canvas bins included in the main package and so I also ended up with a separate package of 3 extra bins that I will maybe send back. In the What's Included section it says: Storage Bench, Optional Bins. It should say 3 Bins or is that just me?! (it doesn't help either when they say in the product description: optional canvas storage bins available)

The canvas bins seem pretty sturdy. They are deep and roomy. The main material on the canvas bins is perhaps a shade darker than vanilla, but the trim and the pulls on the bins are Vanilla and when they are in the bench look wonderful together.

It's a great piece of furniture. I'm using the bench in the bathroom for magazines so can't comment on how it will hold up with kids. I'd want to know more about that smell that I had upon opening, if I had kids. The bench is certainly sturdy and will hold their weight. Also, if you were looking to put more than 1 together, like it shows in the pictures, keep in mind they will not butt up flush. You will have quite a crack between your bench and tower since the bottom part is protruding.

This product was great for storing my dauhters toys in our family room. It's a good quality piece of wood and doesnt look cheap.
