The Commander 3-foot Storage Bench will dazzle any setting, and it will protect the items you choose to put in it. This highly durable, cedar storage bench naturally repels insects and weather damage. You can select a non-glossy, "Clear Coat" finish to delay the weathering process or leave it untreated with the "Natural" option to let the cedar weather naturally to silvery grey patina.
This bench doubles as storage and as an extra seat. With waterproof glue, epoxy-coated screws, and stainless-steel hinges, we are confident our Commander Storage Bench will far exceed your stringent quality standards. Simple assembly is required.
What is the difference between the natural and clear coat finish?
Over time and with exposure to the outdoor elements, cedar will turn a lovely silver grey color as it ages. If you enjoy the fresh, natural color of cedar and would like your storage bench to weather naturally, you should select the "Natural" finish option.

I wanted a storage bench to fit in a closet. It was so easy to find the perfect fit on benches.com! The cedar is great for storage of extra linens and aroma improves smell in this closed space. Assembly was quick and easy. Just don't tighten the screws too tightly or the wood will split.

I bought this chest to put on the front patio so when UPS or USPS delivers packages, they could leave it in the chest (instead of just leaving it by my front door). It was pretty easy to assemble and it came with extra screws, just in case. It looks as pictured. The top is hinged so it opens up and has a lever that rotates that can be used to prop the lid open.

Very easy to assemble. Sturdy construction and looks great. I use it to store bird seed and potting supplies on my porch. I also purchased two of the 17" x 18" furniture seat pads (goldenrod) that work perfectly and adds extra seating. Light in color and well made

This bench looks wonderful on our back porch and fits nicely into the space we had available. It was easy to assemble and looks exactly as it does in the picture. The one suggestion I'd make is that you sell seat cushions to fit this odd size bench. It's a hard seat without a cushion and we've had trouble locating one that is just the right size to fit the top of the bench.
