When I first put it up I was afraid our winds might be too strong. But it works like a charm. It turns in the slightest breeze & in the strongest winds, even a tropical storm! The sun glinting off of it seems to light it up. The 17 in. was just the right size to be seen from a distance.

I love this unique design. However, the two pieces are designed to spin in opposite directions, because the curve of the metal of the outer piece is the opposite of the curve of the metal of the inner piece. That does not happen; they both spin in the same direction pretty much in unison. I wonder if this is a problem with the swivel mechanism. The ones that spin in opposite directions as they are designed to do are absolutely hypnotic!

Exactly what I was hoping for and easy to put up. Will spin with the slightest breeze. The two parts do spin in opposite directions (When it gets going fast it is sometimes hard to tell which part is going in which direction).

Can only rate on product itself as this is a Xmas gift.It was a nice size and should be able to be seen from a distance. I am hoping that the patina ages gracefully as others have stated.

This is a beautiful wind sinner and handles both gentle and high winds well. The product description indicates that it is made of copper, but that is clearly inaccurate. It is made of steel with copper plating. After about a year in my yard, the copper plating is wearing off and the metal is rusting badly. At the price, I assumed that it couldn't be made of pure copper so the rust didn't surprise me. I don't regret the purchase but the description should be rewritten to accurately reflect the actual material used.
