Considering the large size of this patio umbrella, you'd think it'd be hard to open, but it's actually quite easy, thanks to the EZ Lift mechanism. To open the umbrella, simply loosen the knob housing on the aluminum pole and slide it downward. To close the umbrella, just slide it upward.

In addition to the innovative lift mechanism, this generously sized patio umbrella boasts several other high-quality features. Crack-resistant fiberglass ribs support the canopy and allow for flexibility in mild winds. (Because of the size of this umbrella, we recommend lowering the shade in strong wind gusts.) The black aluminum pole is covered in a protective black powder-coat finish. The antique beige shade is made of durable Pacifica fabric, a solution-dyed polyester fabric that carries a four-year fade-resistance warranty and a four-year warranty against rot and mildew. Although a hefty base is included with this umbrella, you'll need to add pavers to weigh it down. Available at most local hardware stores, the pavers must add up to a minimum of 400 pounds for proper stability. Add more weight for windy locations.
