Value is in the details: eight ribs support the versatile offset square shade, while a 2-inch-diameter steel pole provides a sturdy and reliable support structure. A simple crank-lift mechanism opens the umbrella and tilts it in two directions for optimal shade at any time of the day. The offset design works over a variety of patio or pool settings and lets you arrange furniture any way you wish underneath, without relying on a centered table.
Available in several color options, the umbrella shade is made of solution-dyed spun poly fabric and carries a one-year fade resistance guarantee. To prolong the life of the shade, cover the umbrella when not in use. Although a stand is included, you'll need to weigh it down with pavers from your local hardware store. We recommend an overall weight of 200 pounds for adequate stability, but if you live in a windy environment, you may need to add a bit more.

We were worried my wife was going to struggle with such a large umbrella. It is smooth and easy to operate, no problem what so ever. Let's not forget about the price! Very happy with our purchase.

We ordered the olive green square umbrella, the color is beautiful but the material is very thin compared to our previous umbrella.
Unfortunately the square is more of a circle/square to it was awkward.
Also, the pole of the umbrella we received was bent instead of straight and it was missing the square base.
We tried to keep an open mind and work with the bend and use or old base, but it just didn't cut it.

The package came in a flimsy box. After assembling the umbrella, i found out that one of the rods is broken. I have no choice but to painfully disassemble and put this huge umbrella back in the box and return it. The cloth of the umbrella is thin but im not expecting anything unless i buy a more expensive umbrella. This is a the least expensive offset 8 ft umbrella that i found. This is a good buy but there is a trade off.

Misleading - the perfect accessory that was suggested for this item , was a 40-lb European Patio Umbrella stand - http://www.hayneedle.com/sale/galtech40lbeuropeanstand.cfm, however, it did not fit this umbrella.
Incomplete - the umbrella did not come with any fastening bolts required for assembly.

Bolts did not come and the draw string did not work. It is being returned ASAP. They should have sent me the RA # today, but it did not come :(
I was excited about the product but the product and customer service leaves a lot to be desired.
