If you choose the white finish, the head and footboard will be made from sturdy medium density fiberboard, while the pine-finished bed has a solid pine head and footboard.

Comments about Sunset Trading Crayons Poster Bed:
This set was purchased for my daughter's room. We were looking particularly for a bright white set rather than the cottage/cream color. [...] The furniture itself is not a hard wood, so it shows knicks and scratches very easily which isn't good for a kid's room. Having said all of that, it really is beautiful and very feminine in white.
