IS LIKE PULLING TEETH FROM A CROCODILE! One only redeeming factor--THE WONDERFUL SCENT OF COFFEE GRINDING ( get a small grinder-save irritation of the other clumsier areas)

We're on our second one, thought we would give the brand a second chance. Both machines quit grinding only after a few months. Leak coffee/water with every poy. Features are a great combination, but strongly lacking quality. Will not make a third mistake!

Our first machine lasted 7 months and just stopped working (grinder worked, water wouldn't pump). We decided to try another one as the appearance of the machine and the fact that it makes a good cup of coffee was worth another try. The second machine just went out (grinder works, water won't pump), obviously the maker has a "water pump" issue. There will not be a third for us!!

Love the stainless steel carafe. It is loud when grinding, but that is overlooked by the great taste of the fresh ground coffee. The water level window is on the side of the macine -- I have to move the machine out and turn it when filling with water, then put it back in its place. For the money, it could have been a little better made. The plastic parts sometimes 'stick' when opening and closing the compartment but overall seems to be a good investment.
