I bought the 12ft model for my husband for an anniversary gift! Purchased it Monday and it was delivered Saturday!! It took my husband and a friend a few hours to put it together, once they figured out the cross members it was fast! We love it!

The windmill looks good enough-- durable and attractive. However,the assembly instructions were not good. They did not provide enough detail and explanation so there was a bit of trial and error to figure out what part went where. The 3-4 hour assembly estimate is accurate.

It is a good product. Follow the directions carefully. I would say I'm above average mechanically and it took me about 3 hours to assemble. Would go more smoothly with a person to help! I spray painted the fan black and tail red which made it much more attractive and cut down on the sun glaring off the fan blades.

steel upright angle iron was absent.
I bought this despite the warnings of the March 2012 review, but it seems I may be having a similar problem.
This was a Christmas Present for my Father, so I am very motivated to get Hayneedle to help make this right ASAP. If they can, I will gladly amend this review.
